Monctons Eligible Bachelors To Be Auctioned For Charity 2009: Greater Moncton

Monctons eligible bachelors to be auctioned for charity

The Greater Moncton Women’s Chapter of the Canadian Progress Club is organizing the first-ever Bachelor Auction fundraiser for charity in Moncton on May 14.
Eligible bachelors, 12 of them, will be auctioned off to the highest bidders at an event at Moncton’s Delta Beaus&eacutejour Hotel beginning at 6:30 p.m. And just to keep the event interesting, the organizers won’t reveal who these bachelors are until the night of the auction. They have also included a number of items for auction such as a wine-tasting package and a golf package. “The Moncton Bachelor Auction is going to be the most-talked about event in the city,” said Martha Brown, chapter member and auction committee chairwoman. “The bachelors that we have selected for this event are all successful, community-driven individuals,” she said, adding that they agreed to participate knowing the funds raised will be going to local charities, including Crossroads for Women. The Canadian Progress Club is made up of professional-minded individuals wanting to help in the advancement of the communities they live in.
Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased at Mexicali Rosa’s, the Head Shoppe in Dieppe and from club members.
