More Women Needed For Midnight Charity Walk 2009: Midnight Women

More women needed for midnight charity walk

A MIDNIGHT walk for women only is being held to raise money for people with terminal illnesses.
The walk has been organised to raise money for the Boston branch of St Barnabas Hospice and organisers are hoping as many women as possible will take part. Starting at Boston’s Princess Royal Sports Arena on June 27 at 9.40pm, the six-mile walk will take participants around Boston and then back to the starting line. Event organiser Chris Fox is hoping for a good turn out. He told the Target: “Any women aged 13 and over can take part. It should be a good night. “People can walk for whatever reason they like. Some walk in memory of someone and others do it just to raise money for St Barnabas. “St Barnabas Hospice in Boston has helped many people, with more and more of them wanting to be looked after in their own home. This is one of the services the money raised will be used for. “Women should come along and support their local branch which supports local people.”
Each walker will be given a T-shirt at the beginning of the walk and awarded a medal on completion.
