Because this year’s National Police Remembrance Day falls on a Saturday, vigils will be held on the previous Thursday and services on the Friday.
Supporters can wear blue ribbons to honour those who have died to selflessly protecting the safety of others.
The Queensland Police Pipes & Drums, the Mounted Unit, Dog Squad and staff will march through the city of Brisbane for the Remembrance Day Service.
National Police Remembrance Day is on September 29, as is the Feast of the Archangel St Michael, always fighting evil.
