Two of NBC17’s own put on their dancing shoes to help raise money for charity. Chief Meteorologist Wes Hohenstein and Sports Director Penn Holderness took part in the “Dancing Like the Stars” competition to benefit the Bubel/Aiken Foundation, which supports children with disabilities. The event was part of the Southern Women’s Show held Sunday at the State Fairgrounds. Penn and Wes competed against three other teams for the title. Ruth Sheehan, a News & Observer columnist, was the winner.
