On Shaky Ground: An MS Episode In Antarctica

On Shaky Ground: An MS Episode In Antarctica is an exhibition of images highlighting the beauty of the frozen continent, by photographers Fiona Hall and Stellar Fraser, andis proudly presented by the Atrium at Federation Square.
The exhibition is part of Fiona Hall’s adventure through Antarctica to raise awarenessabout living with MS.
Fiona has lived with MS for 25 years and has spent her 25th anniversary with theinfirmity exploring the idea that disability and adventure travel are not mutually exclusive.
She undertook the voyage to Antarctica to raise funds for MS research and rehabilitation projects through the sale of articles, images and talks collected fromher journey.
Fiona has also planned to publish a book, and one of her articles has already been published in the Sydney Morning Herald.
Fiona’s trekking and artistic partner, Stellar Fraser, took up photography after working with Fiona, running a bar and restaurant in the Scottish Highlands. Her enthusiasm for stills has seen hercommissioned by Federation Square to photograph the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
The exhibition of Antarctic images to raise money for MS, titled On Shaky Ground: An MS Episode In Antarctica, highlights people in Antarctica and their reactions to the frozen continent, and will run fromJuly 11 until July 17. The opening is scheduled for July 12.
