Kiwis will get the chance to experience Africa in Canterbury by visiting World Vision’s interactive, walk-through exhibit, One Life Experience,
from 10-15 September, at Spreydon Baptist Church, Corner Lyttelton & Cobham Streets, Spreydon, Christchurch.
The 150 sq metre exhibit provides a unique inside view of the pandemic from the hardest-hit region: sub-Saharan Africa, where about 25.8 million people are now HIV positive.
Lisa Cescon, World Vision’s CEO, says the One Life Experience takes people on an extraordinary journey, but also shows them the solution. “We’re highlighting a problem, one of the biggest health problems in the world today, but we’re also showing how easy it is to be part of the solution.
“These days, people are more aware of global issues and more able to do something about them. This is their chance. We’ll take them to Africa, show them the problem, and then give them a way to be part of the solution.”
One Life Experience debuted at Parachute Music Festival in January and over 5,500 walked through the exhibit there.
