The global economic crisis may be dominating headlines but Penrith has shown its heart over the weekend with huge support for two major charity
events. The EVAN Theatre at Panthers was full with the audience enjoying appearances by ‘Underbelly’ star Roy Billing, singer Kate Walder and band Ex-Parte. The glitz and glamour of the OZWAC ball was replaced with joggers and t-shirts today for the annual Relay For Life at Howell Oval, with huge numbers in attendance. A spectacular fireworks display capped off Saturday evening’s festivities with the event to finish on Sunday morning.
