Days is a four-day celebration of pinot noir and its most brilliant winemakers, the vineyards, the grapes, and the often-bewitching process of urging the noble pinot grape into great wine. At Pinot Days, the winemakers and winery owners do the pouring, creating a uniquely engaging experience where wine enthusiasts can interact, ask questions and learn the stories behind what goes into making great . Pinot Days events for 2009 include six thematic , which are intimate gatherings that feature the best wines and wineries within each given theme. These exclusive Focus Tastings put the featured winemakers and wine enthusiasts together at round tables where they can experience and discuss wines that are tasted blind. Pinot Days’ themes for 2009 include Celebrated Vineyards, Legends of California Pinot Noir, the Wines of Ed Kurtzman and newcomers. Additionally, a hosted Winemakers “Table Hop” Dinner, held at the renowned Pres A Vi restaurant, will feature 18 notable pinot noir producers including Michael Browne of Kosta Browne. Pinot Days 2009 also features a spectacular, all-day tour that takes pinot lovers to wineries along Westside Road in Healdsburg, culminating in a private concert, wine tasting and barbeque.
