Post-Bulletin, Rochester MN Reggae music, a petting zoo, hot air balloon rides, a bake sale, pony rides, a flea market and incredible food were
on the menu June 20 at Whistle Binkies North for the Whistle Binkies anniversary party/Jamie Engle benefit for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Community Walk-Rochester. Randy Lehman, owner of Whistle Binkies, said, “We are thankful for such great weather and a super turn out.” More than 300 people attended. Even though Eliese Klennert was done with the petting zoo, she was still showing off Levi and Strauss, her miniature horses. A steady crowd all afternoon kept the animals busy, she said. Paul and Sharon Brandrup enjoyed having a bratwurst supper and watching the hot air balloon rides.
“The best part is seeing all the people you know, and after all, it is about people,” Sharon Brandrup said.
