Although Saturday morning came with a light drizzle and spring-like temperatures, it wasn’t enough to prevent about two dozen people from taking part in
the second Clarksville Multisport Club Duathon. Athletes from the area began the event just after 8 a.m. They would be running two miles, biking 13 and then run two more. All of the proceeds of the event went to the Fisher House at Fort Campbell, but there was a heated contest brewing on the grounds of Beachaven VIneyards and Winery. “Some of them are heavy-hitters when it comes to competition,” said Charity Lent, one of the event’s organizers.
