Recreation McCrarys Fun Day set for Saturday at Fleischmann Park

Former NFL player Fred McCrary’s fifth annual Fun Day is Saturday at Fleischmann Park in Naples.
The Naples High School graduate, who is in his second year of retirement from the NFL, has organized the event in conjunction with the City of Naples. The Fun Day, which is from 3 to 7 p.m., features games for all ages and giveaways. McCrary, who played in the NFL for 11 years and has a Super Bowl ring from his time with the New England Patriots, will sign autographs. The Fun Day includes free food, raffles for flat-screen TVs and video game systems, and 3-point shooting and punt, pass and kick contests. It’s free and open to the public, and donations to McCrary’s charity are accepted. The official slogan of McCrary’s foundation is “44 Ways To Help Underprivileged Children And Others In Need.” McCrary wore No. 44 during most of his NFL career. McCrary held a fundraising golf tournament earlier this month at Lely Resort.
The Extreme Volleyball Professionals Pro Beach Volleyball Tour is returning to Naples with a May 30 event at Vanderbilt Beach Park.
