Roast beef, baked ham, mashed potatoes, sugar cookies, and cake are just some of the delicious food that we look forward to during Christmas. Unfortunately, not everyone gets to eat these dishes during the holiday season. As a matter of fact, sadly, not everyone gets to eat every day. According to Action Against Hunger, “nearly one in ten people around the world go to bed hungry each night.” This is what Rise Against Hunger, an organization whose vision is “a world without hunger,” is trying to address. On December 14, they’ll be having a meal packing event at New Jersey. Be one with the community as you pack nutritious meals to feed hungry families from different locations this holiday season.
