By now every Aussie should be familiar with the idea that a pet is for life not just for Christmas, but with the RSPCA Pet Foster Care program, you can probably have your Christmas cake and eat it too.
The RSPCA needs volunteers to take temporary care of dogs, cats, pocket pets and even livestock.
But bear in mind that the animals to be fostered will often need extra special care as they may be too small to be adopted out or may have experienced a lot of stress.
