Men’s Health Man Alive Semphore Foreshore Charity Event Adelaide

Man Alive! 2008 is a FREE festival for the whole family to attend.

Hosted by Graeme Goodings, the festival’s purpose is to promote men’s health and well-being, and celebrate men’s contribution to our community. A wide range of health services and community groups will be attending and they will be complemented by fun activities and a quality entertainment program that includes the following artists:

The Borderers – high energy Celtic Music

Supernova – funky, electrifying & eclectic dance music

Warren Milera & Band – captivating original country/soul

“The Fire of Spirit – The Culture of Man” – A Kaurna ceremony lead by Karl Winda Telfer, featuring members of Paitya and the Kurruru boys.

Burundian Drummers

Studio Flamenco – exhilarating, passionate Spanish dance & music

Afrikeeco – Ghanaian Hi-Life & traditional African drumming

Billy Hyde Raiders Drum Corps

The day will create a fun event for families and individuals of all ages to celebrate men in the community. Free Health Screening Checks for men will be available.

Apart from the Life.Be In It recreational program activities, there will be face painting and other fun activities for children. A highlight for many will be the Wallis Theatre Gold Pass – Fling A Thong’ challenge, Classic Cars display, Art exhibition, Rock Wall climbing, Fly Wall and the giant puppets! as they meet up with the Larger than Life’ creations by students and young people. Celebrate the Man Alive! Award Finalists! FREE Admission!!!
