The Enka Triathlon is back! The sprint-distance triathlon will start at 8 a.m.
Saturday, June 13, at Biltmore Lake in Enka/Candler. The race is a 750-meter swim in the lake, a 17.5-mile bike, and a 3-mile run. You can race as an individual or as a relay team, one person taking each leg. If you register before Saturday, May 30, fees are $55 for individuals, $110 per team add $10 for late registration. The Biltmore Lake Association with Glory Hound Events has designated the Enka-Candler Fire Department as this year’s affiliated charity, and will donate $3 from every entry to the department’s annual fundraising drive to support their efforts in the Enka-Candler community. The department stations course marshals on the bike course and emergency medical personnel around the entire event venue.
Karen Chavez and her dog Shelby will take you on their outdoor adventures in one of the greatest outdoor towns in America. They also want to hear about your adventures and answer your outdoor questions.
