This water-bound beastie was among 50 wacky fundraisers who took to the waves in fancy dress. Dressed in everything from skeleton suits to raincoats, the beach lovers were raising money in memory of cancer victim Angela Frazer, who died after a seven-year battle with the disease. Angela, 38, a mum-of-two, of North Shields, died in November after a long fight against breast cancer.
Danny, 20, a surfing instructor who lives in Tynemouth, said: “We are in this surfing competition for a very personal reason and will also be participating in the Great North Run.
