Child abuse occurs every single day and often goes unnoticed. Many children don’t have the ability to reach out for help or go anywhere on their own, making them vulnerable targets for abuse. Some aren’t even aware that they are being abused, because they have been brought up believing it is normal and being unaware of what others experience. Every child should be provided with safety and be able to trust those who care for them, but abuse can take this from them and affect their wellbeing for the rest of their lives. The earlier this abuse can be stopped, the easier it will be for them to recover and live happy lives.
The Children’s Trust helps prevent child abuse and keep children safe. Their Children’s Trust Gala this October will raise money for this cause.
