Have you heard of the word “chandler”? It comes from “chandelier”, an old French word which means “candlestick maker.” This December 19, you’ll get the chance to be a chandler when you join Hampshire Cultural Trust’s Thursday Afternoon Crafts: Festive Candle Making. Happening at The Arc, Winchester, you will be taught how to mix and match colors, scents, and various trinkets to create your candle. At the end of the session, you’ll get to take home the candle that you did to decorate your home with or to give as a gift. Proceeds from this event will go to Hampshire Cultural Trust so that they can continue to “manage and support visitor attractions, museums, art galleries and arts centres across Hampshire.”
