TLC Dont Go Chasing Waterfalls Reunite Instead

Considering TLC haven’t performed live in the US in six years, those three letters are now better recognized for the TV network that plays
Jon & Kate Plus Eight than as standing for T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli. But perhaps Justin Timberlake knows the words to “Waterfalls” as well as we do. The remaining ladies of TLC — Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas” — have been recruited to play JT’s annual Justin Timberlake and Friends charity event, October 17 in Las Vegas. Tickets to the Timberlake-hosted event go on sale Saturday, People reports. Other performers include Ciara, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift. Original member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes passed away in 2002 after a car crash in Honduras. Since her death, the surviving members of the band have only performed under the TLC name once. Their final show was a 2003 radio station gig in New York City, MTV News notes. For those who watch an inordinate amount of daytime programming on MuchMoreMusic, you may remember reality series R U The Girl, which had singers compete for the chance to work with the group. Despite picking a winner, Watkins and Thomas did not release new music as TLC after the show. (Perhaps the winner’s nickname — “O’ so Krispie” — proved too clumsy to be added to the TLC acronym…) TLC won four Grammys during their ’90s pop reign. They also starred in a video that’s all about drugs, AIDS and, probably, Terminator 2’s T-1000:
