WEATHER presenter Siân Lloyd will compère a St David’s Day charity concert held by the Shrewsbury Welsh Society.
The 90-strong Bridgend Male Voice Choir will perform at the event to raise money for the Hope House Children’s Hospices at 7.30pm on Saturday, February 28. At the Severn Theatre, on Frankwell Quay, the choir will be joined by Welsh League Championship winners, the BTM Band, and soprano Helen-Jane Howells. The evening will feature a mix of classical and folk music, traditional Welsh compositions, songs from the musicals and traditional male voice choir songs. President of the Shrewsbury Welsh Society, Miriam Hulme said: “The Welsh Society is pleased to bring together some fantastic singing and rich musical talent to raise some funds for a cause close to many people’s hearts.” Tickets cost £15 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01743 281281 or by visiting www.theatresevern.co.uk.
