Nina Barough, CBE and founder of UK-based charity Walk The Walk, will serve as godmother to a celebrity cruise ship.
Celebrity Cruises selected Barough in recognition of her tireless devotion to fighting breast cancer by raising awareness and funds through her four annual Walk The Walk events. Herself a breast cancer survivor, Barough will officially name the ship Celebrity Equinox and break the champagne bottle over its bow on July 29.
Barough explained about being UK godmother to the ship, “I feel blessed to be given this opportunity to raise the profile of our charity through my association with Celebrity Cruises, and very honored to name a vessel as gorgeous as Celebrity Equinox.”
