The people at Peter Mac are hoping that you’ll spend the next couple of rainy days rolling around quaintly colourful little boardwalks, and trying to avoid being sent straight to jail, by buying the limited Victorian Monopoly edition for charity.
The latest in the special edition Monopoly games has former footballer turned bookie, Simon Beasley on the Community Chest and Crown Casino in the prime real estate posi, Mayfair.
The MCG, Chapel St, Federation Square, the Lexus Centre, RMIT Uni and Bendigo St also landed titles on the special Victorian charity board.
Monopoly is one of the world’s most popular games, translated into 26 different languages and sold in 80 countries. So far they have made special Monopoly editions of SpongeBob, Star Wars, Spider Man 3 and The Lord of the Rings. There’s even a Biblopoly out there on the market, although I’m not sure if it’s a Hasbro.
For those who are really dedicated to charity and to the Donald Trump like art of the game, there are also charity Monopoly tournaments you can enter.
But for those who just want to play the property plunder from the safety of a paper bank in their own home can pick up a copy of the Victorian Monopoly edition for charity for $79.95 from Super Cheap Auto, Spotlight and Origin Energy stores. And all to support the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
