On October 20, 2013, Albert Park Lake Melbourne will be the setting for hundreds of volunteers who have registered their desire to help cure this disease as we along with many others in other cities worldwide Walk to Cure Diabetes.
Over the preceeding months volunteers have been busy seeking donations which will culminate at a family fun fun day once we have completed the 4.7km walk around the lake.

Our team is made up of myself (Susan), my daughter ( mother of my Type 1 diabetic grandson), my mother, my grandaughter and Smeg the Wonderdog. We chose to become involved in fundraising for this cause to help find a cure so my 3 year old Grandson Ethan could one day live life without the need for life saving insulin and the numerous blood sugar tests per day.
All donations go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
