Welliewearing Kids Help Charity 2009: Youngsters Walked

Welliewearing kids help charity

YOUNGSTERS walked into class wearing their favourite footwear this week.
Bright and colourful Wellington boots could be seen at St Mark’s Primary School in Worle as the children took part in a fund-raising event. The footwear was being worn in support of Wear Your Wellies Day, a Children’s Hospice South West event held to gather more pennies for the charity’s coffers. Children paid £1 for the privilege of wearing their boots and raised a total of £236. The 2nd Locking Rainbows also took part in the event and are still counting the money they have gathered together. They held their wellie day at the village hall in Grenville Avenue to show off their weird and wonderful boots.
