Westpac-Craniofacial Charity Masque Ball

A charity ball for the Australian Craniofacial Unit

CHANGING THE FACE OF THE FUTURE

Add some art and theatre to your costume at the Westpac Craniofacil Masque Ball this month to support the internationally acclaimed work of the Australian Craniofacial Unit.

The annual fundraising event recognises the extraordinary impact this South Australian success story has at home and overseas as it transforms faces and lives with the worlds most advanced craniofacial surgery and patient care.

Founding surgeon and head of the pioneering medical team, Professor David David will host the Charity Masque Ball at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday 26 October, which this year is asking people to really put the focus on faces.

Talented students from Adelaides Media Makeup Academy are donating their time and skills with a brush to bring the spirit of grand masquerade to the fundraising event.

Work Experience Manager Jessica Elmer says the Academys students will get creative with the guests as they paint some fun and dramatic masks in support of the Craniofacial surgical team which is changing lives.

“At the start of the night guests can make a voluntary donation to put on a unique face either for those with a flair for the creative and those wanting to finish off their look on the night, Ms Elmer said.

Each painted design will have a splash of Westpac red to honour the events principal supporter. Traditional masks also will be available at the ball, which is a black-tie or costume event. Tickets are available from Craniofacial Australia on 8267 4128, email [email protected] or at any Westpac branch.

The Charity Masque Ball at the Entertainment Centre will be hosted by the media Garden Guru Kim Syrus and features the 10-piece Chesterfield Brass Ensemble. Money raised will fund vital research and equipment as well as support families needing help with the costs of the surgeries that change lives and futures for victims of accidents, violence, cancer and birth abnormalities.
