February 12, 2009 WHAT: Daytona 500 Benefit for the New Jersey Motorsports Park’s Green Flag Children’s Charities WHEN: 2 p.m.
Sunday WHERE: Driver’s Clubhouse, New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville DETAILS: Features David Donohue, winner of the 2009 Daytona Rolex Grand Am 24-Hour Race, who will greet guests and hold an autograph session. He also will race against guests on the Daytona Speedway Simulator. The guest who comes closest to or faster than Donohue’s fastest lap on the simulator will win two season passes for 2009 at the park and a “Day in the Life” of a park Driver’s Club member. Also, the top 10 fastest drivers on the simulator will win a starting position to compete in the Inaugural Green Flag Charity Challenge Cup at the park’s Karting Track in a 20-lap feature race during a spring 2009 race weekend benefit event. Guests also may register to win more than 50 door prizes, including tickets to spectator events during the park’s 2009 racing season. The Daytona 500 will be shown on four big screens in the clubhouse at 3:30 p.m. also display of custom and historic race cars.
