Ethiopian News Forum Posted by Desta Bishu August 15th, 2009 at 3:10 am Anna Wardley, a woman taking part in a 21-mile
swim for charity, has admitted she had to complete the event topless after an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction. Miss Wardley, 33, of Gosport, Hampshire, was six hours into her challenge to swim two lengths of Windermere in the Lake District when her swimsuit elastic broke and began filling up with water. She feared at first she would have to swim the rest of the 19-hour challenge naked but, to her relief, was able to roll the swimsuit around her waist and carry on. “I guess it was just part of the challenge. When you do something like that you expect some challenges along the way, but this was the last thing that I anticipated happening,” she said. “Around six hours into the swim the elastic went and the suit just kept filling with water and inflating, creating a massive drag and making it difficult to swim.
“I knew I had to do something about it as I had a long way to go and I just had to get rid of the swimsuit.
