Padres Contra El Cancers aim of giving children motivation to fight against childhood cancer always brings inspiration to many. This year the Charity celebrated their 6th Annual Stand for HOPE!, 5K Charity Run/Walk at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Last June 23, 2013. The Run/Walk charity event raised more than $78K to benefit PADRES vital programs and services and it helped increase the survival rates of childhood cancer patients.
The 5K Charity Run/Walk of PADRES was attended by many celebrity supporters including BRANDON RIOS (boxer); KEVEN RAMIREZ (radio host); DANIA RAMIREZ (actress); DAMON SEMENTILLI (actor); JOSEPH JULIAN SORIA (actor); GINA RODRIUGEZ (actress); EDDIE HASSELL (actor); ANDRE KINNEY (actor); JAKE THOMAS (actor) and the ladies from KCAL’s HOLA LA!BEL HERNANDEZ (host), KIKEY CASTILLO (host), and NAIBE REYNOSO (host).
Participants enjoyed the day wearing their favorite superhero costumes to stand with PADRES in the fight against childhood cancer. A gift of a White BlackBerry Q10 courtesy of BlackBerry to all 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female runners was well received by the runners.
