A LOCAL couple have managed to raise more than £2000 for charity by getting their dancing shoes on.
Karlito Gray, who is a breakdance choreographer, and his partner Lorraine managed to pull in the cash by holding a dance-off contest at the Kelvin Hall last week, with proceeds going to St Margaret’s Hospice and Cash For Kids. The charities were chosen because of family connections, as Karlito’s father and Lorraine’s grandmother both passed away due to cancer, and Karlito’s son Cameron has special needs. And the event proved to be a major success. Karlito, 38, said: We got a few hundred people who came down, which was a decent crowd, and it was a really great night.
“And the acts were brilliant, and the crowd loved them.”
