Bike Unite is a 37-mile bike ride from Manchester to Liverpool, organised in support of The New Children’s Hospital Appeal and the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal. Cyclists will set off from Salford Quays and travel along the Manchester Ship Canal and the Trans Pennine Trail, before finishing at Calderstones Park in Liverpool.
Paul, 34, who won Gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the cycling team pursuit, said: “Bike Unite is a great event to get involved in. Cycling can be a brilliant day out and this event is all about children and raising money to make a difference to them and their families while they are in hospital.
