The four-kilometre walk on Friday 08 May will start from the amphitheatre at Nusa Dua of Bali Tourism Development Corporation complex and is
expected to attract 500 participants from Bali, Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia.
The charity walk is intended to raise awareness and funds to support the treatment of breast cancer sufferers in Bali.
In addition to the charity walk, the committee also has organised a mini bazaar, silent auction, raffle, lucky draw and special entertainment to make the event more lively.
The entry cost of around US$23 per participant includes ticket, snacks, and a Bali Pink Ribbon Walk t-shirt and all proceeds raised will be donated to Prima Medika Hospital Denpasar Bali and used to fund a new digital mammography unit to provide more effective screening for younger women as well as a Breast Cancer Support Centre, staffed by trained volunteers.
Many Nusa Dua hotels including Grand Hyatt Bali, Nikko Bali Resort and Spa Nusa Dua, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Melia Bali Villas and Spa Resorts and The Laguna are offering discounted accommodation rates to support the event.
