The 14th Annual Race to Erase MS took place over the weekend bringing out the usual gala gowned girls to benefit the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis.
Tara Reid, Nicky Hilton, Lara Flynn Boyle, Michelle Rodriguez, Melissa George, and Nicole Ritchie were among countless other celebrities that frocked up in flocks for the huge gala event.
The celebrities and models walked event sponsor Tommy Hilfiger’s creations down the runway and celebrated in their usual style dancing and dining away through the night.
This year’s gala entitled, Dance to Erase MS also had a silent auction and performances by the Goo Goo Dolls, Donna Summer and Earth, Wind & Fire.
The annual evening is organized to raise funds for research into MS and to ultimately find the cause, and a cure for the condition.
Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, deteriative disease that affects the central nervous system and usually hits people at a young age or between the ages of 20 and 50. Approximately 2.5 million people suffer from MS world wide.
The Annual Race to Erase MS is the principle fundraising effort for The Nancy Davis Foundation, so it is no surprise that celebrities come out in droves to support it.
Members of the Nancy Davis Foundation board include Tom Arnold, Montel Williams and Tommy Hilfiger.
The Annual Race to Erase MS is supported by and held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza and this year raised over $2.5 million for The Nancy Davis Foundation for MS Without Walls program.
