Did you know that every year, over 100,000 people in the UK suffer a stroke, leaving many in need of long-term support and rehabilitation? This highlights the vital role that charities like Bristol After Stroke play in helping survivors regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Bristol After Stroke is an independent charity dedicated to providing essential support and resources to those affected by stroke. Their work is crucial in helping stroke survivors navigate the challenges of recovery, offering everything from rehabilitation services to emotional support.
To support their invaluable efforts, Bristol After Stroke is hosting their annual Charity Walk on September 28, 2024. Every step taken and every pound raised contributes to funding the charity’s vital programs and services, making a real difference in the lives of those affected by stroke.
Our Charity Walk is back!! So put on your walking shoes, have some fun and walk with us to raise funds for Bristol After Stroke.
You can join us for a wonderful 1 mile accessible walk around Eastville Park, or if you are able, for a 6 mile walk along the beautiful Frome Valley Walkway to Oldbury Court, returning back to Eastville Park. And if you really want to challenge yourself you may consider doing the walk twice!
We will have a wildlife guide sheet along our 6 mile walk and history notes for both walks for you to enjoy and welcome you to join us after for refreshments at the Nissen Hut. We will even have water and a rosette available for your dog.
