Christian, 13, and Wesley, 19, will navigate the 25 miles from Dover to France on May 23 in aid of the Children with Leukaemia charity. And their kayaks will be bearing the arms of Taunton Deane Council in the shape of a plaque presented by Mayor Cllr Tim Slattery. Christian, a pupil at Taunton School, and Wesley, who attends Richard Huish College, in Taunton, plan to paddle more than 300k in training on Wimbleball Lake and off Plymouth and Poole.
