More businesses than ever before have signed up to tackle this year’s Bath Half Marathon Corporate Challenge.
A record 120 company teams have entered this year’s race on Sunday, March 15, which means that more than 500 competitors will be taking part in the corporate challenge alongside nearly 15,000 individual runners. Teams from businesses all over the West will be taking part, as well as firms from London and as far afield as Mexico and Hong Kong. The challenge, which saw 101 business teams taking part last year, is designed to promote fitness within the workplace as well as teamwork, while raising money for charity. He said: “We are thrilled that the corporate challenge has attracted so much attention again and we have had to close entries. “The Bath Half Marathon is committed to helping companies improve workplace health and we hope that the corporate challenge provides a platform for this. “The corporate challenge also makes a massive contribution to the event’s overall charity fundraising, which topped £1.2 million last year, largely through businesses match-funding their employees’ fundraising.
“The great news is that we are on target for beating our best-ever charity fundraising total for the event this year.”
