There will be ghosts, ghouls and goblins running amuck at the Trehaven Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, May 26, in support of finding
a cure for cancer in women. The fifth annual Swinging Fore A Cure Charity Golf Tournament will be taking a page out of the Christmas in June theme by hosting a Halloween in May theme for the annual event. Trehaven donates the course for the event on the last Tuesday of May each year. In years past, golfers have raised more than $23,000 for the cancer society. The cost for the Florida Scramble format is $320 per team and includes golf, cart, Continental breakfast and lunch. Tee-off time is 9 a. m. There will be prizes for golf and for best costumes. For more information about the event or how to register, contact Judy Cranney 325-5833, Catherine Sutherland 722-7864 or Christine Clarke 329-2815. Lake St. George Golf and
Country Club posted its second hole-in-one of the young season last Sunday as club member Fred Flink joined the aces club. Flink, playing with fellow club member Harvey Galligher, registered his second hole-in-one in the past two seasons on the short second hole of the West Course using a pitching wedge. Congrats, Fred.
