All proceeds went directly to the (SPCA) with over $130,000 raised for animal cruelty prevention. Over 120 players turned out, including Simpsons voice-actor Nancy Cartwright and Dancing with the Stars contestant Karina Smirnoff. Of course, some of the best poker players in the world, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey, were there as well. Rapper Nelly, Heroes TV star James Kyson Lee, Liverpool goalie Pepe Reina, ex-soccer star Teddy Sheringham and Sex and the City’s Jason Lewis were among the participants in the tournament. Sheringham made it all the way to the final table, but lost heads-up to the classy and elegant PokerStars pro .
