Cost: $5 donation requested from adults. 26851 South Bay Drive, Bonita Springs The typically upscale atmosphere of Bonita Springs’ The Promenade shopping center will became a little more festive Tuesday evening in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. At the fiesta, there will be plenty of sombreros on the heads of attending children and margaritas in the hands of the adults in celebration of the Mexican holiday. The twist: this party’s main purpose is to bolster one of Bonita Springs’ key social service agencies. The Bonita Springs Rotary Club Noon and the Bonita Springs Lion’s Club will host a Cinco de Mayo event Tuesday, May 5, to raise money for the Bonita Springs Assistance Office, a non-profit organization that offers temporary assistance to needy Bonita Springs residents.
Mary Shallies, who organized the event on behalf of the Rotary Club Noon, also serves on the board of the Bonita Springs Assistance Office.
