From submitted reports • August 29, 2009 The first annual Community Charity Challenge, also known as C3, will be 7 a.m.
Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 a.m. at David’s Trail. Registration opens at 6 a.m. Participants in the bike ride, which starts at 7 a.m., may do either a six-, 20- or 34-mile trail ride. Run/walk participants may go either one, two, four, eight or 13.1 miles. The run/walk starts at 10 a.m. A hospital picnic pavilion will be open for food and drinks from 6:30-4. Team members will solicit donation pledges &mdash a minimum of 10 donations of at least $25 each &mdash and all funds will go directly to the charity of their choosing. Participants may do any of the events at their own pace. However, enthusiastic bikers, runners and walkers are encouraged to ride all three bike routes (60 miles) and run/walk the full trail (13.1 miles) for additional incentive donations to their desired charity.
The seven participating charities are Baxter County Library, Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation, David’s Trail, Human Society of North Central Arkansas, Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, Mountain Home Christian Clinic, and Twin Lakes Community Foundation.
