Leonard Cheshire Disability is holding its annual Tea for Ability Week from June 13 to 21. It is asking people to get together with neighbours, colleagues, friends and family and ask for donations in return for tea and cakes.
The charity said £50 raised from a tea party could help adapt a kitchen for a wheelchair user, £100 could buy arts and crafts materials and £150 could pay for six people to go on a day trip.
