1:58pm Tuesday 5th May 2009 FAMILIES are being invited to run up to 10 kilometres to raise money for charity.
The Wellness Run will take place at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, in Ledrington Road, Crystal Palace, on June 7. Now in its fourth year, the event is open to runners of all ages and all profits raised will go to health charity Diabetes UK. Roz Rosenblatt, London regional manager for Diabetes UK, said: “The run will not only be a fun day for all, but will also raise funds which will go towards the vital work of Diabetes UK and raise awareness of the importance of physical activity.” The event is organised by leisure company GLL, which run more than 65 sports centres across London, including Greenwich and Lewisham.
