Craig Morgan Rides for Charity

Feb.

11, 2009 — In a rather challenging set of circumstances, Craig Morgan broke a wrist and a leg in two different motorcycle races in a six-week period in 2006. The physical setbacks haven’t held him down — Craig held a benefit motorcycle ride in 2007, and he’s set another one for March 31 that starts in Vanleer, Tenn., and ends with an acoustic concert and silent auction in Dickson. Money raised from the event will go to the Craig Morgan Fund, a charity that distributes earnings to several different organizations locally and nationally. “I grew up around Dickson, and live there now — it’s a great place to raise a family,” Craig says. “But not all children are as fortunate as we’d like them to be, so this event is a fun way to get people together to raise money and awareness to help kids who really need it.” Craig’s already enlisted Bucky Covington and — according to The Tennessean — Blake Shelton, and more artists are expected to come on board.
Tickets for the event — ranging from spectator passes to VIP arrangements — run from $10-$200. For more information, visit www.craigmorgan.com.
