Now the shop, at 199 Main Street, is set to celebrate its 20th birthday this Saturday.
Shop manager Catrina Boxall said: “This would not have been possible without the support of the local community – our customers and donors alike. “Of course, the stars of the show are the team of volunteers who have worked so hard to make the shop a success we simply couldn’t have achieved this without them.” To celebrate this milestone the team will host a whole day of fun and frolics on Saturday, August 22. The shop would like to invite past and present customers and local from the area to celebrate with them. Visitors can enjoy a tombola, lucky dip, a game of burst the balloon to win a prize, guess the number of sweeties in the jar and much more. What’s more, prizes on the day include a hi-fi complete with MP3 holder and a George Foreman grill.
Catrina added: “I’m so glad to be part of such a wonderful group of people – they are truly inspirational! The volunteer team here are extremely dedicated and hard-working. The “1.5m milestone would not have been reached so quickly without their efforts.
