Sunday Feb. 22 The Leash Free Milton Dog Park hosts its Retriever Fun Day from 1 to 2 p. m. for golden retrievers, labs and others, offering a chance to meet new friends. Dogs should be kept on a leash outside the park, and owners should pick up after their dogs. The park is located at 230 Fourth Line, which is past the woodlot at the dead end on the left hand side. Monday Feb. 23 The Women’s Centre, in Hopedale Mall, 1515 Rebecca St., suite 229 in Oakville, offers peer counselling from 10 a. m. to 3 p. m. for women going through a difficult time. No appointment is necessary. It also offers income tax assistance (no appointment needed) on a first come, first-served basis for women with a total gross income of less than $30,000.
