Friends of Burlington Gardens to hold Corn Roast

August 17, 2009 Friends of Burlington Gardens will present its third annual Corn Roast and Veggie Ball from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday at Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington. The gala event is a charity fundraiser to support garden-based education, outreach and nutrition programming. The evening includes garden tours, a vegetarian buffet, roast sweet corn, seasonal desserts and live jazz with Jenni Johnson and Friends. Advance tickets purchased by Wednesday are $20 for adults and teens, and $10 for children ages 8 to 12. Younger children are free when accompanied by an adult. Ticket prices increase by $5 per person after Wednesday.
