Do you have a daughter who loves butterflies? Or perhaps a nephew who likes dragonflies? What about a godchild who adores bees? If you know of a kid who admires gardens and enjoys observing different garden wildlife, then mark your calendars for the Garden Wildlife Safari. Happening on August 21 at the Knoll Gardens, this will be a memorable morning for all kids, and kids at heart. You’ll get to interact with moths, take a dip in the pond to check the amphibians, and watch insects hopping from one flower to the next. Proceeds from this event will go to the Knoll Gardens Foundation who believes in cultivating a “healthy and biodiverse garden environment” and sharing it with others.
Childrens Event; Garden Wildlife Safari
From 10.30am to 12noon, join us as we discover Knoll Gardens’ wonderful wildlife! Open up the moth trap to see what has been caught overnight, dip the pond in search of aquatic life and discover the insects nectaring on Knoll’s flowering perennials. Be inspired to encourage wildlife into your garden!
Organised by the garden’s charity, the Knoll Gardens Foundation, this children’s event is suitable for children aged three years and upwards. Activities encourage a love of nature from a young age, inspiring children and their parents or carers to interact with the garden’s many wildlife inhabitants as well as its trees and flowers.
There is limited shelter in the garden, so please dress for the weather on the day. Planned activities may be subject to change or cancellation at short notice depending on the weather conditions.
All children must be accompanied by an adult (max of 2 adults per child ticket).
All proceeds go towards supporting the work of the Knoll Gardens Foundation.
There’s a saying that goes, “Start ‘em young!”. This August, encourage a child’s love for nature and instill in him the importance of goodwill. Get your tickets to the Garden Wildlife Safari here now.
