Jewish community in counter terrorism consultation

ASIAN News has three signed copies of Khan The Champion to giveaway.
JEWISH communities have joined forces with police watchdogs and officers in the campaign to tackle terrorism. Views shared will contribute to recommendations on how to make better, more informed police decisions on issues surrounding violent extremism and counter terrorism. They will also be reported to the Government’s national policy on counter terrorism known as the CONTEST strategy. GMPA staff and Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers involved in counter terrorism and neighbourhood policing delivered presentations at the event which was hosted by the Community Security Trust (CST). CST’s Mark Gardner is spokesperson of the charity which seeks to protect the Jewish community from threats of bigotry, anti-Semitism and terrorism.
He said: “We were delighted to be involved in such an important piece of work. It’s vital for all our diverse communities to have an opportunity to provide their views about important issues. The event did just that for the Jewish community.”
