Get involved TAXI drivers will give all their day’s fares to charity.
The cabbies from Woods in Salendine Nook will generously donate the cash to skin charity DebRA. Owner of Woods Taxis, Mohammed Iqbal, 49, told the Examiner: “The DebRA charity shop is just opposite our door in Salendine Nook Shopping Centre. “So it will be nice to give the money to this charity. “If people use more taxis that day, the charity will get more money. “We’re not sure how much we’ll raise yet &ndash it depends how much people give.”
Mr Iqbal, from Dalton, said around fourteen staff from Woods Taxis will be taking part in the event throughout the day next Thursday.
