Matt Damon, along with Ben Affleck, has been confirmed to play the Ante Up for Africa poker tournament (hardly work), but the actor also helped give a grant to UNICEF on behalf of Not On Our Watch.
UNICEF US was awarded $250 000 to continue their work reducing maternal mortality in Southern Sudan.
‘As the situation in Sudan grows increasingly unstable, it is imperative that the international community take action to help those most vulnerable… The maternal mortality rate in South Sudan is one of the highest in the world. We are proud to help UNICEF as they work to save lives, especially during this critical period,’ Matt Damon said for the charity he founded with George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Brad Pitt, Jerry Weintraub and David Pressman.
