LONDON – When Prince William attended a friend’s wedding on Friday, the groom poked fun at him by saying “you’ll be next”.
It all happened when William went to shake the groom Nicholas van Cutsem’s hand, and to congratulate his bride Alice Hadden-Paton. “He has been with Kate far longer than most of his close pals – and more and more of them are getting married,” the Sun quoted a source at the ceremony as saying. “Nicholas’ comment was meant only as a joke – but it is increasingly likely that Wills and Kate will decide to take the plunge,” the source added. The princes have known Nicholas, whose father Hugh is a close friend of Prince Charles, all their lives. Nicholas, like Harry an officer in the Household Cavalry, is due to head out to Afghanistan later this year.
He was joined by many fellow soldiers at his wedding reception. (ANI)
